National Australia Brass

“Metal” represents Australia’s largest and most expansive natural resource. Linked with the mining community of our nation there is a parallel ‘metal movement’ that has both heritage and history - namely, Brass Bands.

The millennium has brought with it a revival and refocus on the optimistic pursuit of “metal” within the community which has included the formation of the first ‘Federation of Australasian Brass Bands’ in 2008 and the musical birth of ‘National Australia Brass’ – “The Voice of Metal”.

• Promoting brass banding as a cultural entity at the highest level within the wider community
• Nurturing public awareness of the Australian brass band movement’s community focus
• Expanding the global recognition of Australia’s brass band heritage as an internationally profiled musical ensemble uniting leading brass musicians as ambassadors for Australia at the highest artistic level of attainment.
